ESPN Sync privacy policy
Updated October 18, 2026 · Extension version 1.1.8
Purpose and permission
Charger Fantasy ESPN Sync connects ESPN fantasy football leagues you can already access to your Charger Fantasy workspace. It uses read-only requests after you confirm a sync or enable the League HQ pulse. It never submits trades, claims or lineup changes.
Data handled
The extension reads the league ID and season you choose, league settings, team names, rosters, and player-pool data, including projections and sports injury status. The optional League HQ score strip reads weekly matchup scores, live point totals, and scoring forecasts. It does not request transaction history or lineup-change history. Score-strip data remains in browser memory and is not sent to the site server. Enabling scores authorizes periodic reads for that league in the current site tab while League HQ is open. Pending offers, waiver bid amounts, private messages, the top-level ESPN member list, and team owner lists are excluded. Team names may contain personal information.
Your browser attaches the existing ESPN session to requests sent directly to ESPN over HTTPS. The extension does not extract or save session cookies, request the cookies permission, or collect your ESPN password. Credentials are never sent to Charger Fantasy.
Where data goes
League data passes from ESPN through the extension to the Charger Fantasy page in the same browser. The extension stores no persistent data and has no advertising or analytics code. The site saves normalized leagues in that browser profile. When you use the site's analysis features, roster and scenario inputs are sent to its analysis service for processing without being saved as league records in its database. Hosting providers may process ordinary request metadata such as IP addresses and timestamps for service operation.
Other visitors cannot browse your local leagues. Anyone using your browser profile can access them. Social Chat has been retired.
Retention and removal
Extension request data exists in memory while syncing. Saved website leagues remain until you use Forget this league or clear the website's browser data. Downloaded backups remain until you delete them. Uninstalling the extension removes its browser access but does not delete website data or downloaded backups.
Limited use
Extension data is used only to provide the league-sync feature and related user-requested fantasy analysis. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness. Charger Fantasy's use and transfer of information received through this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Questions
Use the developer support contact shown on the Chrome Web Store listing once it is published. Do not post passwords, session cookies, or private league information publicly.
Charger Fantasy is independent of ESPN and is not endorsed by ESPN.
Optional manager report
Version 1.1.8 adds an explicit action to read completed weekly box scores and executed league activity. Historical roster names, eligible slots, scores and completed move details are transferred to Charger Fantasy and stored in this browser for lineup efficiency and league recaps. Private messages, bids, pending proposals and ESPN session cookies are not transferred. The weekly score strip continues to read scores and matchup information only.
