Private ESPN league sync
Use your existing ESPN login to sync a league you already have access to.
Install the extension
Version 1.1.8 is packaged for Chrome Web Store submission. It is not yet listed or approved. Private-league sync was confirmed working by the site owner; this update also syncs standings, playoff settings, and the regular-season schedule. Use the manual installation below until the store listing is available.
- Download and unzip the extension into a folder on your computer.
- Open chrome://extensions in desktop Chrome, turn on Developer mode, and choose Load unpacked.
- Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
- Sign in directly at ESPN in the same Chrome profile. Open your league there to confirm you can access it.
- Reload Charger Fantasy. On the connection form choose Private league (extension), enter your league ID and season, then connect and confirm.
Use Refresh ESPN data for later roster updates. On League HQ, choose Enable scores to allow weekly scores and matchup information to refresh every 60 seconds while that tab is open. Confirm once for each league in the current browser tab. Private roster sync remains manual. If you update the extension, reload it on the extensions page and then reload both ESPN and Charger Fantasy.
Your session stays in your browser
The extension makes read-only requests to ESPN using your existing browser session. It does not extract cookies or collect your password. League settings, rosters and player-pool data are transferred to your local Charger Fantasy workspace. Owner/member lists are excluded.
When you request analysis, the site sends roster and scenario inputs to its analysis service as usual. The extension never submits ESPN transactions.
If it does not connect
Check that ESPN works in the same browser profile, your league ID and season are correct, and the extension is enabled. Existing saved leagues remain intact after a failed sync.
Mobile Chrome does not support this installation flow. Managed school browsers may block extensions; use a permitted personal browser. Do not change school restrictions.
Uninstall the extension from chrome://extensions to remove its access. You can keep using public-league sync without it.
Player cards · version 1.1.8
The extension adds a Charger logo beside supported ESPN football player names. Select it to open that player’s rankings and stats in an overlay on your current ESPN tab. It does not submit trades or change your ESPN lineup.
For an unpacked installation, download and unzip the updated ZIP. At chrome://extensions remove older Charger Fantasy extension copies, then use Load unpacked to select the new folder containing manifest.json. Confirm version 1.1.8 and reload ESPN to clear the old injected styles. The Chrome Web Store version requires a separate update submission and review.
